I do like Mondays in Uganda!

Today was awesome. After picking up school supplies and a little more medicine, we went straight to Kawete. The kids were in class but the Preschool students cheer d as we arrived. The team prepared gift bags for the Men's and Women's Bible Studies and then went to work painting the school again. It is making the buildings look brand new again!  Local tradesmen are helping and will finish the painting after we leave. Dr. Killian was busy in the clinic and saw patients from 11:00am til dark without stopping. He performed minor surgery to remove a benign skin tumor from a patient.  He also diagnosed a serious heart murmur in a 10 month old boy. He is in urgent need of surgery. His O2 level was 87% to 92%.  He sweats when feeding. We will try to help. He will be taken to a Pediatric Referral Hospital to have an Ultrasound of his heart done to see exactly what is the problem. Once we know we hope to be able to rally the St. Louis Pediatric Community to join us in saving a life!  Dr. Killian saw many patients today and the medicine donated and purchased with monetary donations have helped many children and adults. We are now back on the road to Jinja.  We are tired but feel blessed by the activities today. Most of all, the time with the people of Kawete is good for our souls!
