A wonderful day full of experiences in Uganda

We just returned from our last full day from the village. It was a most fun filled, eventful and productive day!  We began by visiting the homes of the families who appeared in the video to raise awareness of the effects of the drought on Uganda. It was beautiful to see the humility and graciousness of the people.  They were so overjoyed to see us. We gifted them with some rice and beans to help them for a week until the rains return and the food follows!  One of the families gifted us with Avocados and Mangos. It brought a humble feeling to the team and tears to some of us.  We then went to the school. Dr. Killian went to the clinic and got to work. He stayed busy til the end of day again. He saw lots of Moms and their young children. He saw patients with asthma, allergies, diarrhea, hypertension, reflux disease, arthritis, parasites, eye trauma, cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, bronchitis and a few healthy newborns!  We also gifted the school children with shirts and school supplies. We had Bible Studies with the Boys, Girls and Preschoolers too.  It was a beautiful day working in God's Kingdom. It will be sad to leave the children and families of Kawete.
